The demonstration enclosure of European bison is located near the village of Muczne, in the Stuposiany Forest District, along the road to Tarnawa Niżna, by the Czerwony stream.

The Demonstration Enclosure of European Bison in Muczne is an interesting place for a short walk.
We can reach the viewpoint of the enclosure from the parking lot using a wide, asphalt road. Two well-positioned covered viewing points allow you to observe the vast bison habitat.
We can admire these rare and majestic animals... and if we're lucky, we can see bison roaming freely near the car park!
...but if we're less fortunate, the bison may be hiding behind bushes, lying in tall grass, or resting in a distant corner of the enclosure. Some patience will come in handy!
If someone gets bored, they can take a walk along the forest path and come back later. Maybe then they will succeed? And always remember to bring binoculars!
At the entrance, there are information boards that provide basic information about bison and their history in the Bieszczady Mountains. Did you know that one of the Bieszczady bison, a bull named Pulpit, once embarked on a long journey?
From Muczne to the Demonstration Enclosure of European Bison
Currently, the easiest way to get here is by car or on foot along the asphalt road from Muczne.
There is also the Krutyjówka nature trail (3 km, about 45 minutes along the Muczne stream, closed in July 2022) and a forest path for walking and cycling along the slopes of Bukowy Berd "Za Domkiem Myśliwskim" (5 km, 1.5 hours) - unfortunately, it is also reportedly under renovation...
