Tynieckie Forest is part of the Bielany-Tynieckie Landscape Park. Despite being relatively easy to access, they are not as trampled and "paved" as, for example, Wolski Forest or Zakrz贸wek and Twardowski Rocks. This certainly has its charm - if you're looking for quiet, shaded paths for a forest walk, you'll definitely find kilometers of them here! However, there is a lack of rest areas, benches, and paved promenades for stroller walks.
How to get to Tynieckie Forest?
For those with cars, we recommend the small parking lot at Kangaroo School and the MPK loop "Podg贸rki Tynieckie" (Kozienicka Street). You can also, for example, leave your car at the Monastery in Tyniec and walk to the forest along the green trail - along the Vistula River and through the Grodzisko hill.
Getting to Tynieckie Forest by MPK bus - here we also recommend the Podg贸rki Tynieckie loop (line 162), or alternatively the Tyniec Quarry stop (line 112). Both start from the Podwawelskie Housing Estate at the Grunwald roundabout. You can also go here for a full-day trip on bicycles - from the center of Krakow along the Vistula embankment to Tyniec:

How to get to the forest and the green trail?
From the Podg贸rki Tynieckie stop: we bypass Kangaroo School, turn left and after 5 min. we reach the edge of the forest. The paths go in two directions, we turn right and soon reach the green trail.
From "Tyniec Quarry" we go along St臋pice Street - here at the St臋pica hill we will find the green trail.
Green trail in Tynieckie Forest
Tynieckie Forest is crisscrossed by countless trails (so far all forest, beaten, not hardened). If you don't feel too confident in navigating the forest "by orientation" it's best to stick to the green trail, known as the "Seven Hills Trail", which encircles the entire Tyniec with about a 10-kilometer loop (through the Benedictine Monastery, Vistula embankments, Grodzisko Hill and Tynieckie Forest, groves, and reserves).
Attractions of Tynieckie Forest
First of all, the forest itself! Extraordinary, rich terrain: numerous hills, depressions, pits, ravines, small rocks, fallen trees, lots of lying branches, waiting for creative use provoke countless forest games!
Here and there we can count on viewpoints: for example, St臋pica hill, and Du偶a Kowodrza.
On our walk, we did not encounter infrastructure like benches, tables, etc. - tree trunks and fallen trees were completely enough for us. Apparently, you will find more of these attractions closer to the Sko艂czanka Reserve. Additionally at its foot: a forest chapel and Jewish mass graves.
Tynieckie Forest with a stroller and bicycle
The paths in Tynieckie Forest are rather a proposal for hiking or for experienced cyclists who are not afraid of off-road challenges. Basically, all the time it will be either uphill or downhill! You will find a slightly wider, flat and shaded road at the entrance to the Sko艂czanka Reserve.
