Piaskówka Park - the most forested park on the map of Tarnów
Its name is not accidental - there used to be a sand mine here. The history of the park dates back to the end of the 19th century, when it became a favorite place for walks and fun for the people of Tarnów. However, over time, it fell into oblivion.
From Neglect to Revitalization
Piaskówka Park has come a long way from neglect to revitalization. In 2003, it became a municipal park, which opened the doors to renovation and maintenance work. Thanks to financial support, the park has regained its beauty.
Pond and Recreational Area
The central feature of the park is a small pond, surrounded by sun loungers, hammocks, and a gazebo with a grill. It is an ideal place for a walk, relaxation, or family gathering.
Diverse Playground
The park features a large shaded playground with plenty of attractions for children. One of the more unique attractions is a slide suspended from a rail. There are also numerous climbing frames, swings, and slides for younger children.
There is also a maze made up of narrow asphalt paths for cycling.
Getting There and Parking
The park is located 1.5 km north of Strzelecki Park on Elektryczna Street. The easiest way to get here is by car - there are two parking lots on the south side of the park. Bus lines 3, 11, 44, and 48 also operate here. There are paid toilets in the park.
