Witch's Bridge in Wrocław - legend and coloring book for children

Once upon a time in Wrocław, there lived a beautiful but vain and lazy girl named Tekla. She didn't take up any work, she only dressed up and admired herself in the mirror.

Her parents sighed sadly: what will become of this girl?

Years passed, but Tekla didn't change - she only cared about having fun. She didn't want to get married. When her mother asked for help at home, Tekla didn't listen and hurried off to another party or tried on a new dress.

One night, Tekla woke up and was horrified to see that she was standing on a bridge between the towers - as a punishment for her vanity, she had to sweep it every night. Tears, pleas, and screams didn't help - no one heard her high up in the clouds.

Years passed, Tekla grew old and ugly. When she no longer had the strength to sweep the bridge, a young witch named Martynka came to help her.

Martynka was a witch with a kind heart and she really wanted to help poor Tekla. One night, she secretly took Tekla's broom and flew to Wrocław Market Square to seek help for Tekla. There, she met an old wizard who had lost his glasses. Martynka helped him find his lost item, and in return, the wizard promised to grant her a wish. The girl asked for Tekla's freedom.

When Martynka returned to the bridge, Tekla was no longer there.
