People, both residents of Lanckorona and merchants passing through the town, began to pray more often, becoming more devout as they asked God to protect them from the robbers' attacks. As a result, fewer souls were going to hell. The devil decided to get rid of the robbers from Lanckorona Mountain. He took a pebble from his hoof and rolled it towards the robbers. The stone grew in size - when it fell on the robbers of Lanckorona, it was a huge boulder, the robbers didn't stand a chance... It's said that you can still find this boulder in one of the forest ravines of Lanckorona Mountain.
