Kayaking on the Wieprz River

Kayaking is an amazing adventure! You can stop at wild beaches along the river, rest at kayak docks. Roztocze offers kayaking routes even for complete beginners - it's the perfect place to start your kayaking adventures! One such beginner-friendly kayak route runs along the Wieprz River.

The Wieprz River, which flows into the Vistula River ;)

Yes, the Wieprz River is a right tributary of the Vistula. It flows through Roztocze and Zwierzyniec. We kayaked from the town of Obrocz to the Rudka Reservoir in Zwierzyniec - on this section, the Wieprz River is slow, melancholic, and shallow (in the deepest places it could reach your bottom), providing very safe conditions for family amateur kayakers.  As you can see on the map, the Wieprz is very winding - it twists and meanders. The ride was pleasant, surrounded by wilderness and quiet. On the route, there was a small water threshold, and when entering Zwierzyniec before the Rudka Reservoir, we passed under a bridge and had to duck quite low. We passed one kayak dock, where there was a booth with food and drinks.

The kayaks are two-seaters, but younger children can ride with their parents - so our ten-year-old kayaked with us.
