Before going on the walk, it's worth getting a booklet with tasks for children and tips for parents (available at the Niepołomice Forest District: ul. Myśliwska 41, at the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Krakow, al. Słowackiego 17a, or on the website: www.pomocniklesnika.pl
The route is suitable for suburban forest walks in the shade – it can also be done with a stroller or bicycle (most of the path is asphalt). Along the way, there are 7 stops and 13 tasks to complete. The unpaved section of the forest path (dashed line) can be bypassed by returning the same way, and you can approach tasks 12 and 13 from the side of the fallen spruce tree.
The trail starts next to the closed Kmita Restaurant on ul. S. Kmity between Zabierzów and Szczyglice. It leads through a forest asphalt alley with a slight incline – it will definitely be easier to ride back on bicycles... There is a small stream along the path. We will find a few benches along the path, and you can also use the fallen trees as seats, but be careful of resin stains!
Except for noon, when the sun reaches everywhere on a hot day, we should find plenty of shade here.
Nearby, about 1 km to the north on ul. Stanisława Kmity, there is the Rogate Ranczo with many attractions for children and a dining option.
