The scenic promenade along the seafront in Framura can be a pleasant alternative to the famous Path of Love, especially since it will remain closed for a long time. If you feel like taking an easy walk with a view of the sea, be sure to visit here! The trail connects Torsei Beach with Arena Beach in Framura and stretches for 0.6 kilometers.

  • The path itself is comfortable, without stairs, although it has steeper inclines in some places (as seen in the photos).
  • There are stairs at the entrance to the path.
  • The path is suitable for lightweight strollers.
  • There are no restaurants, shops, or cafes near the path and beaches. Bring your own food. It has its charm - it's peaceful and uncrowded, more wild and natural.

Framura - Train Station and Beach

The train station in Framura is, well... a bit run-down. It is definitely less bustling than the towns of Cinque Terre, and during the off-season, it can be almost deserted - we were the only ones here in January. So, our first impression was not very pleasant - just a hole where it was unclear which way to go. Looking at the map, we discovered that the actual town of Framura doesn't really exist - its area consists of five independent settlements located on a steep cliff.

It's worth knowing that the settlements are situated much higher than the station. If you want to reach them, you'll have to climb quite a few stairs. So, from the platforms, you can either go down to the beach right away or walk up to the towns.

The small Torsei Beach near the Framura station can hardly be called a beach - it's just a rocky strip of land. This is where the coastal promenade begins.

Along the Path to the Second Beach

The promenade was built relatively recently and runs along the coast to the second beach, which is larger but also rocky. The entire walkway is protected by dense mesh barriers, so it's safe to stroll with younger children. The view is truly wonderful! We walk while listening to the sound of waves crashing against steep rocks. This place is already outside the boundaries of Cinque Terre Park, so there is no entrance fee, and it's definitely less crowded.

After a short walk, we reach Arena Beach, located in a bay surrounded by steep cliffs. If you want to go into the water, it's worth having water shoes with you.

Near Arena Beach, there are stairs leading up to the town of Anzo-Setta, to a viewpoint and the Genoese Tower. You can take a loop walk and return to the station through the town. During the off-season in January, the town was completely empty.

In Anzo, you can also see a 16th-century Genoese watchtower. Unfortunately, it is located on private property and is not open to visitors. To reach the next settlement, Costa, with another tower called Torre Carolingia, you have to climb even higher. The walk from Anzo takes about half an hour.

Porto Pidocchio Framura

While in Framura, it's also worth visiting the small port surrounded by steep rocks, which protect it and make the sea calm and quiet even on windy days.
