Walking Trails at Tarnawa Peat Bog
Are you looking for a comfortable walking trail with a stroller in the Bieszczady Mountains? The paths at Tarnawa Peat Bog are perfect for you!
There are two options to choose from: a longer and a shorter trail, totaling less than 3 km in length. Allocate approximately 1 hour to complete the entire trail.
Shorter Trail at Tarnawa Peat Bog
It will take you about 15 minutes to complete this trail (about 600 meters round trip).
The entire path leads through meadows on wooden platforms with railings (which makes it harder to pass by), and there is more traffic compared to the longer trail.
At the end of the trail, it loops back to the entrance point.
Longer Trail at Tarnawa Peat Bog
The longer trail is more diverse, with a round trip of approximately 2 km, and it will take about 40 minutes to complete.
To reach the longer trail, you need to walk about 200 meters on a comfortable dirt road.
To access the platforms, you need to step on a specific stair.
Unlike the shorter trail, the longer trail does not have railings (except for a small bridge at the entrance). This makes it easier to pass by people coming from the opposite direction, and it allows younger children to observe nature more easily.
Most of the longer trail leads through meadows, but some parts also go through the forest. On a sunny day, you will find some shade!
At the end of the trail, it loops back to the entrance point using the same path.
