One of the most popular routes to the Bieszczady Owl's Hut leads through the red trail from Brzegi Górne. The trail is similar in length to the yellow trail from Przełęcz Wyżna, but it offers more scenic views: less walking through the forest and more along the ridge.

Starting point of the red trail from Brzegi Górne to Połonina Wetlińska
In Brzegi Górne, there is a large (paid) parking lot and the ticket office of the Bieszczady National Park. Initially, we climb through the forest, passing small clearings. The path is comfortable and partly leads through "forest stairs".

Views from the red trail to the Owl's Hut
After leaving the forest, wide panoramas await us in all directions.

The path through the meadows becomes narrower, but it is still comfortable and can be easily conquered even by the youngest hikers!

Owl's Hut on Połonina Wetlińska
The new "Owl's Hut - 2" on Połonina Wetlińska is a gastronomic point (no accommodation available) with beautiful scenic trails and descriptions of the panorama.

Wetlina Meadow and trails to Chatka Puchatka
Chatka Puchatka on Wetlina Meadow is an extraordinary place and a must-visit destination for hiking in the Bieszczady Mountains. Although the old shelter has been replaced by a modern "shelter," the breathtaking views remain the same, consistently captivating and inevitably inspiring love for the Bieszczady region! ...
Return to Brzegi Górne
We return using the same red trail. Alternatively, we can also descend using the yellow trail to Przełęcz Wyżna and then take a bus back to Brzegi Górne (we do not recommend walking as the road is busy and winding, and the educational path along its edge is closed during the grazing season for sheep (from spring to autumn).
