Estimated time: about 3 hours round trip
We arrive at the village of Skrzętla-Rojówka. At the very end of the village, there is a small church where you can leave your car and continue on foot to conquer Jaworz using the blue trail.
Hiking destination: observation tower below the summit.
During the approximately three-kilometer walk to the tower, you can expect:
- truly beautiful views right from the beginning of the trail
- moderate hills and slopes ;)
- a mix of forest shade and sunny areas (no monotony)
- partly asphalt and partly gravel path (an off-road stroller will handle it)
- meadows along the way where you can take a short break, observe large ant hills, and collect plenty of stones ;)
Next to the observation tower, there are benches and a covered shelter. You can also go a bit further, to the summit of Mount Jaworz (about half a kilometer away).
Although there are no views from there as it is in the middle of the forest, it is still worth it, if only for the rocky and sometimes steep trail (not suitable for strollers).
Near the tower (about a 20-minute walk downhill) is Hubertówka - a very nice and picturesque agro-farm where you can have a meal or ice cream (there is also a children's corner). You can also reach Jaworz from this side, which makes for a really short but very scenic hike. http://www.hubertowkapodjaworzem.pl/
In total, the entire route from the parking lot to the tower, including detours to the summit and to Hubertówka, and back to the car, is about 8 km. I highly recommend it, especially as an alternative to popular (crowded) mountain destinations.
