The trail starts at the Tarnow market square, although there is unfortunately no figure on the market square itself. The first Maszkarony is quite hidden - it is located at the Passage of Discoveries.

1. Universe
The Passage of Discoveries in Tarnow is a Science and Technology Center - it is in the side street of the market, at the entrance to the passage, where the first Maszkarony is located.
2. Guardian of the Elements
Look for the Guardian of the Elements on the Hungarian Square.
3. Guardian of Identity
The Guardian of Identity squatted at the foot of the tower. In a knight's helmet, he introduces us to the coat of arms of the city of Tarnow - a crescent and a six-pointed star above it. The motif was taken from the Leliwa coat of arms, which was used by the founder of the city, Spycimir Leliwita.
4. Inventor
The Inventor Maszkarony is inspired by a great figure – Jan Szczepanik. Instead of a body, he has a tripod and a camera, because Szczepanik was the inventor of the movie camera and many other things. His head is almost a faithful copy of one of the original Maszkarony.

How does the story of the Tarnow's Maszkarony trail begin?
Residents voted for individual figures in a survey, choosing the best ideas, according to them. The Youth City Council was heavily involved in this. The survey also included space for own suggestions, which were reported by the respondents. Fourteen Maszkarony were selected - as many as there are historical ones on the town hall - with the highest number of votes. The same number of Tarnow artists were invited to cooperate, so each character is completely different. Each artist drew the name of the character and the inspiration of a given Maszkarony, which is located in the Tarnow town hall.
