The route starts at Tarnowska Avenue, after the highway.
Marcinka - access, parking
By public bus - bus lines 35 and 31 (from the bus and train station) go to the castle hill. Get off at the last stop, it takes about 15 minutes for an adult to walk from the stop to the castle ruins.
By car - it is best to leave the car near the pool, which is located below the hill. There is a paid parking lot near the restaurant on the hill.
Marcinka - playground
At the bottom of the hill, at the beginning of the route, you will find benches and a large playground for children (mostly in the sun). There is also a rope park and an outdoor pool nearby.
Route to the castle ruins
The road leading to the ruins is paved with sidewalk tiles, then asphalt - we can manage to overcome it with a stroller (although there is a slightly tiring uphill section with a stroller). There is a restaurant and parking along the route.
Castle ruins and viewpoint
It used to be a magnificent fortress and the pride of Tarnów. Currently, the castle ruins are neglected and not secured. It's a pity because it is a popular hiking destination. There is a beautiful panorama of the whole Tarnów from here.
