The trail around Krempna along the Hałbów nature path, which consists of yellow, red, and green trails through the Hałbów Pass, is an interesting but demanding hike. It takes about 4 hours to cover over 8 km and includes 18 stops.

ATTENTION! Following the numbered stops, it is easy to get lost twice on the trail: at the beginning, when the yellow trail descends from the road through an unmown meadow into the forest (somehow we noticed the turn, but hikers before us turned back), and at the end, when the green trail exits the forest into the meadows: here we got lost and had to cross the pastures off the beaten path... Next time we will try to go against the flow - maybe it will be easier?

Route of the Hałbów - Kamień Trail

The trail starts at the Museum of Magura National Park in Krempna (inside, you can get a brochure with descriptions of the stops, along the route there will only be signs with numbers, it can also be downloaded from the website - link below).

Initially, we walk along the main road, then we turn onto a side road, and here's the thing: we need to pay attention when we turn through the meadow into the forest! At the edge of the forest, there will be a sign indicating the entrance to the national park and marking the trail. On the day of our hike, the meadow was not mown or even "trampled"...

The beginning of the yellow trail is heavily overgrown - not only the meadow but also the forest section. The viewpoint has also become overgrown. It is only in the upper part, beyond the "fern clearing", that it becomes more comfortable, the trail appears well-trodden, with bridges and steps leading through gorges.

Just before the Hałbów Pass, there is a mass Jewish grave from World War II.

At the Hałbów Pass, there is a junction of trails, but it is better to rest on the other side of the road, away from the asphalt, on a clearing with a wooden shelter:

The second part of the trail is a walk through the forest on the slopes of Kamień. We climb up to the intersection with the green trail and descend through the Kamień Strict Nature Reserve.

The final section of the trail can be difficult again: overgrown paths, you need to carefully look for signs. Unfortunately, after reaching the meadow, we lost the signs... We should have reached the church, but we went off the beaten path through the pastures...

In Krempna, we recommend visiting the historic Orthodox church, exploring the Museum of Magura National Park (link below), visiting the cemetery from World War I on Łokieć Hill (15 minutes from the museum), and resting by the reservoir on the Wisłoka River (the best place to go into the water is just below the dam or near the ford next to the hanging bridge at the entrance to Hutka Krempska).
