Estimated time (including admiring the views!): about 3-4 hours
One of the few scenic trails in the Beskid Niski mountains, with an active observation tower and a beautiful 360-degree panorama! (unfortunately, the tower on the Barania peak is not accessible, and it would be great to climb a few meters higher on the scenic meadows of the Wysoka peak...)
We start the hike near the Wisłoka River in Kąty (parking lot near the store and pizzeria).
We ascend through flowery meadows and pastures. Yes, on a sunny day, the sun may be shining down on us, but the views make it worthwhile... It's worth making frequent stops to admire the scenery!
Higher up, there will be some shade. In a small forest, we will come across a junction with the green trail: here, you can turn left (about 10 minutes) to reach the observation tower on Góra Grzywacka. Unfortunately, the description of the panorama is only available at the bottom...
After returning to the red trail, we will soon reach vast meadows. CAUTION: at this point, the trail is not marked and goes slightly to the left (so we don't take the wider path that descends to Kąty).
Once we reach the top, next to the forest nursery, we should find the red and white markings.
The views - again, breathtaking!
The final section of the trail leads through the forest, along the border of the Łysa Góra Reserve. The path may be narrow, but it is well-marked and relatively well-trodden.
We intended to reach the clearing at the top of Łysa Góra, but it seems to be overgrown...
We returned to Kąty the same way. In Kąty, there is a grocery store and a pizzeria.
