A Short Forest Trail with a Viewpoint
Trail Length: Approximately 8 km.
Time required: It took us about 4 hours for a round trip walk.
We start the trail in Żegocina - there are several large parking lots along the main road, including one just before the entrance to the yellow trail, which turns into a narrow and quite steep street (signposted for the spring).
The asphalt climb is not the most pleasant part of the trail - especially on a hot day...
Fortunately, after about 15-20 minutes, we will enter the forest.
From this point on, we will mainly walk on a wide forest road, but constantly uphill.
At times, it can be steep, but the last stretch provides a moment of respite.
After about 1.5 hours, we will reach the blue trail, and shortly after, the upper station of the ski lift - here awaits a beautiful panorama to the east:
The summit of Kamionna is nearby - in a charming beech grove.
The summit is forested - without views.
Soon, a viewing tower will be erected here... Perhaps these are the last moments without a construction site, heavy machinery, and the long-awaited "crowd of tourists" as desired by the local authorities...
We returned to Żegocina using the same trail:
From the summit of Kamionna, we can also walk along the ridge to the neighboring peak - Pasierbiecka Góra.
It's about 1.5 km one way:
