The Chairlift to Palenica is one of the most popular attractions in Szczawnica. The lower station of the chairlift is located in Szczawnica on the promenade along the Grajcerek stream (ul. GĹ‚Ăłwna 7). The Large Family Card is accepted. Children up to 4 years old can ride with the guardian's ticket. There are also discounts for PTTK Members.
Palenica
It is a peak in the Small Pieniny Mountains (722 meters above sea level). At the top, you will find the Groń mountain hut and many attractions for children, such as the educational trail "Little Mountain Explorers on the Nature Trail", a playground, and a gravity slide. Palenica offers an interesting panorama, including a distant view of Trzy Korony (Three Crowns).
Little Mountain Explorers on the Nature Trail
The main attraction for children is the unique educational trail called LITTLE MOUNTAIN EXPLORERS ON THE ADVENTURE TRAIL at the top of Palenica. Here, you can find large models of animals such as deer, bear, squirrel, badger, lynx, salamander, stork, and even large mushrooms. There are also animal viewers that allow you to see the surroundings through the eyes of a wolf or a falcon. On the top of Palenica in Szczawnica, on the left side of the upper station of the chairlift, there is also a playground! Children can enjoy two mini climbing walls, ladders, and a long and winding slide. There is plenty of fun to be had!
Oh, everything has grown here! There are giant mushrooms, a giant ant, a huge butterfly, and dragonfly.
Another attraction is the gravity slide, where both young and old adventurers can experience adrenaline. During our trip, my son (3 years old) and his dad used the slide.
