Brzozowy Gronik is a small but very scenic hill above the Rytro village. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding area, from the Beskid Wyspowy mountains to the Poprad Valley and the northern part of the Jaworzyna Krynicka Range. The important thing is that you can reach it from Rytro via an asphalt road, even with a stroller.
From Rytro to Brzozowy Gronik
The red trail of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK) leads from the center of Rytro (PKP station) to Brzozowy Gronik. The entire hike to Brzozowy Gronik is along concrete and asphalt roads amidst buildings. These are car roads without sidewalks or shoulders, but the traffic here is minimal (only access to private properties).
It is steep - we have to overcome a height difference of 200 meters, but with each step, the views of the surroundings become wider and more beautiful - it's worth stopping and looking around every now and then!
If we have enough strength, we will be able to bring a stroller up here (it will be much easier downhill!). The only moment when the red trail leaves the asphalt is on this narrow path:
However, if we turn left on this spot and then keep turning right, we can bypass this section (this asphalt route is marked on the map in the article header).
Just before reaching the summit, the road will become a dirt road, but it will be wide and comfortable.

PS. If you feel like continuing on the red trail - it will still be very scenic, but not suitable for a stroller! - you can reach, among others:
- Niemcowa (2 hours, 5 km from Brzozowy Gronik)
- Radziejowa (4 hours, 10 km from Brzozowy Gronik)
- You can also take the yellow trail from Niemcowa and descend all the way to Piwniczna-Zdrój (about 4 hours, 11 km from Brzozowy Gronik).
