The Warsaw Zoo is a pretty large park with enclosures and pavilions for animals. Besides the undoubted attraction of seeing the animals, you'll also find plenty of places to relax, shaded park paths, a fountain, spots with tables and loungers, and several playgrounds and a train for the little ones. The entire zoo is child-friendly, you can move around everywhere with strollers, and you can also use wooden carts for preschoolers (available for free, for children up to 7 years old), as well as family toilets with changing tables (e.g. in the aviary). There are no lockers to leave your backpack, luggage.

Aquariums

There are two pavilions with aquariums in the zoo. One, near the hippos - is a marine aquarium and a small Amazon, where you can see the largest fish of the Amazon rivers, the arapaimas - Arapaima gigas.

Another aquarium is located at the other end of the zoo. The seahorses and the nearby Doris and Nemo are very popular there.

Other garden residents

The Warsaw Zoo also has enclosures for alpacas, deer, gorillas, hippos, and even polar bears, as well as many, many other animals. Apparently, it houses 12,000 animals of about 500 species!

Play and rest areas

The main zoo path is wide and sunny, but the side paths are shaded. Every now and then we pass places - cafes, ice cream parlors, fast food with tables and loungers. There is also a playground and two trains in the zoo!

Path for the blind

We really liked the animal sculptures, prepared with blind and visually impaired people in mind. Thanks to them, everyone can look closely at exotic animals – and above all touch and stroke!
