Świnoujście Lighthouse - Viewing Point

After climbing 308 steps (for the convenience of "climbers", steps are numbered every 10, and there is also a halfway point marked), we reach an amazing observation deck. You can see not only the sea, port, industrial areas, but also a large piece of Wolin Island: from the cliff coast beyond Międzyzdroje to the hills and a brick church in Lubin, as well as the Szczecin Lagoon and an archipelago of wild islets.

And if 308 steps are too many for little legs, there is also an exit to a lower terrace (below half the height) - here you can best observe, for example, the work of the port.

Świnoujście Lighthouse - Practical Information

The climb to the top is safe - wide concrete steps. Only the last dozen or so steps are a metal ladder (wide steps, strong railings).

On the ground floor of the lighthouse, there is a possibility to use the toilet, and there is a large souvenir and local maps shop near the ticket office.

At the foot of the lighthouse, there is a small food point (fast food, ice cream, waffles).

P.S. Despite notes about a museum in the lighthouse, we didn't notice it, and there was no information about it at the ticket office.

Świnoujście Lighthouse - How to Get There

The lighthouse is located on Wolin Island (Warszów district). It is most convenient to reach it by car (there are signposts and a large free parking lot). There is also a bike path leading to the lighthouse - from the ferry crossing via Barlickiego Street and Ku Morzu Street. A city bus also runs from the PKP Station (we go to the last stop, Lighthouse). We do not recommend walking - the route runs along busy streets, through industrial areas (around the new gas port).
