The newly built multimedia fountain is undoubtedly one of Legnica’s greatest attractions—and it is open to everyone! If you are in Legnica, it is definitely worth visiting, especially for the night-time show. The fountain is located in the City Park, about a 15-minute walk from Legnica’s Market Square.
Parking
The closest place to park by the fountain is on Adama Mickiewicza Street—the parking spaces here are practically next to the fountain, which is convenient if you have a pushchair or are travelling with someone with limited mobility. You can also park on the Bielańska Street side, right in front of the renovated entrance to the park.
Multimedia Fountain in Legnica – shows
According to information from the Legnica city portal, the 2022 fountain-show season ended earlier than planned due to cost savings, worse weather and lower attendance; the next season should begin at the end of April. However, the fountains at Kozie Pond will continue to operate, providing an interesting place for recreation and relaxation.
Of all the fountain shows we have seen, the one in Legnica undoubtedly made the most positive impression on us! The beauty of the shows here lies in their simplicity: a combination of light, water and music. There are no images projected onto the water, which often spoil the effect more than they enhance it.
The fountain – a place to relax
The fountain is located in the part of the park known as the "French garden". The paths here follow a carefully planned, decorative layout, and this is also the most flower-filled part of the park. Charming white benches can be found by the fountain, while the hedges create romantic little corners. The plants in the French-style garden are carefully tended, and this is undoubtedly easy to see!
Practical information:
- entering the water and bathing in the fountain area is prohibited
- dogs may only be brought in on a leash and wearing a muzzle
- older people and those with limited mobility will find it most convenient to park on the Adama Mickiewicza Street side (these are the residential parking areas closest to the fountain); parking spaces are also available on Bielańska Street, in front of the renovated entrance to the park
