Ko艣ciuszko Mound is a unique tourist attraction that combines history, nature, and a chance for a family walk.

What Awaits Us at the Mound?
First of all, a beautiful view of Krakow, and on clear days, you can even see the Tatra Mountains! Be sure to visit the Blessed Bronis艂awa Chapel, where there is a small exhibit about the history of this extraordinary place (currently under renovation). In the buildings of the Austrian fort, there is an interesting, modern exhibit called "Ko艣ciuszko - A Hero Still Needed" and an exhibit about the Krakow Fortress.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:
You can find detailed directions to the Mound in the route description All Roads Lead to the Mound!
Entrance is through the Ko艣ciuszko Museum: First, you go through the exhibit "Ko艣ciuszko - A Hero Still Needed", then you go out to the mound. On the way back, you can also visit the exhibit about the Krakow Fortress with wax figures. A single ticket covers all exhibits and the entrance to the Mound.
Baby strollers should be left outside: moving around the Mound, fort, and museums with a stroller will be difficult. There are steep stairs and a "turnstile" gate at the exit. The new exhibit has elevators for the disabled, but baby strollers will need to be carried. Dogs are not allowed on the premises.
Exhibit "Ko艣ciuszko - A Hero Still Needed"

The newest multimedia exhibit at the Ko艣ciuszko Museum is not just a "must-see" on the way to the Mound!
In several rooms, there are many "stations" dedicated to different moments and aspects of the hero's life. The exhibit is not overwhelming and focuses on the most important and interesting (often surprising!) facts. Look carefully for hidden "magnifying glasses" and windows with more interesting details!
Each station also has fun, interactive tasks for young visitors: find out if little Tadzio ate chocolate, went to kindergarten, and played soccer. Build a fortress, navigate mazes, solve "Indian memo", trace a medal, and write a postcard to Ko艣ciuszko.

The exhibit is dimly lit with various sounds and voices, but young children should not be scared.
From the exhibit, you exit through a caf茅 to the terrace, and from there, you start the climb to the top of the Mound!

What to Do After Coming Down from the Mound?
Other exhibits are on the lower level: a wax figure gallery of several famous Poles and a very interesting exhibit about the Krakow Fortress. Kids will love the models of the Mound assault, trench reconstructions, and weapons. Metal boxes help the youngest visitors reach the models and displays.

A small caf茅 is located near the museum, and a larger restaurant is on the viewing terrace. The caf茅 has restrooms, and there are also restrooms at the museum entrance (with a changing table).

The exit is on the other side, not through the Museum.
Next to the fort, there is a small green area with a wooden playground, including a new mini-reconstruction of a defensive structure designed by T. Ko艣ciuszko.
