The Bedtime story Museum in Rzeszów is an impressive collection of original dolls from movies, scenery fragments, a large film camera, and a whole lot of trinkets with images of cartoon characters. Here, we have the opportunity to learn about the history of Polish cartoons, delve into the secrets of animation, and most importantly, go back to carefree childhood times.

What will we see in the Bedtime story Museum?

The exhibits are grouped chronologically and by individual character heroes: Jacek and Agatka, Teddy Floppy Ear, Koralgol, Pingwin Pik-Pok, Reksio, Bolek and Lolek.

While visiting the  Museum, we will not only remember Polish cartoons. In the museum showcases, we will also find The Smurfs, The Moomins, The Gummi Bears, The Wolf and The Hare, Little Mole, and Mr. Kleks.

Everyday objects decorated with well-known images accompany the movie characters, original puppets, and boards: cosmetics, toys, games, etc. It turns out that this way of "product placement" and using the opportunity to increase sales has been known since the 1960s:

On the boards between the showcases, we can learn a brief history of Polish animated films for children: from the first cartoons, through decades of its flourishing, to the last one aired in 2013.
