How to get to Przylasek Rusiecki?
The bathing area of Przylasek Rusiecki is located in Krakow, in the Nowa Huta district.
You can reach here by bus - there is a special recreational line LR2 from Czy偶yny Dworzec station that leads to Przylasek Rusiecki. LR2
You can park your car right by the bathing area - the parking fee is 25 PLN per day, but a little further away you can find many places to leave your car, especially if you arrive before the peak times.
Bathing Area and Guarded Beach
The entrance to the bathing area is free and open to all. The area itself is a renovated extensive beach with a lifeguard-manned area. You'll find plenty of shade under the sprawling willow branches and canopies. Wide wooden platforms make it easy to push a pram onto the beach. The water near the beach is shallow for a long way, which is a benefit for younger children. There are spacious changing rooms with showers and toilets near the bathing area. They are wheelchair accessible and include baby changing facilities.
There are many places to relax (hammocks, tables, etc.) and a playground on the bathing area grounds. There are also fast-food bars near the beach.
Along the backwater, amidst the reeds, long wooden platforms stretch out - you can take a walk on them. This is also an interesting place to observe birds and insects bustling among the reeds - it's worth bringing binoculars for the trip! Especially since there are many undeveloped places outside the bathing area where you can observe nature.
Cycling to Przylasek Rusiecki?
This seems like a great idea, especially since you can easily reach the Nowa Huta district via a path along the Vistula embankments. However, we strongly advise against a cycling trip. The bike trail leads along roads - and part of the route that tried to bypass the roads was completely impassable.
