Mosorny Groń - observation tower, trails, attractions

Mosorny Groń (1047 meters above sea level) is a peak in the Polic Range, at the foot of Babia Góra. The observation tower on Mosorny Groń was built in 2022, right next to the upper station of the cable car. From its terraces, you can enjoy beautiful panoramas of the surrounding ranges, especially the majestic Babia Góra Massif, as well as the Polic Range, Jałowiec Range, and Zawoja. On a clear day, you can even see the Tatra Mountains!

Mosorny Groń - natural curiosities

What we also like about Mosorny Groń is the abundance of interesting facts placed on the chairs and special stands, showcasing nature, local traditions, and culture. Did you know what a "mosor" is? It's a wooden scoop made from a single piece of wood.

If you enjoy solving puzzles, we also recommend a treasure hunt prepared for the summer of 2023:

Mosorny Groń - trails

Perhaps you feel like hiking up here on your own or combining a cable car ride with a mountain hike? You can climb to the summit via the yellow trail from Zawoja-Podryzowane (less than 3 km, 1.5 hours). The downside of this trail is the heavy bicycle traffic (although the downhill routes do not follow the trail directly, they are in its immediate vicinity...).
